Your Sacred Midwifery Care
At Sacred Birth Midwifery we provide family centered midwifery care starting as early as from conception or the first 10 weeks of pregnancy through the final six weeks of postpartum.
Each prenatal visit is a full hour, held in our warm, home-like office where you are welcomed with nourishing pregnancy tea and a calm, supportive atmosphere. Our time together is centered entirely around you—as we view you as the expert in your pregnancy, your body and your baby.
We believe every mother, and family, deserves to feel seen, heard, and deeply supported. That means our visits are unhurried and intuitive, allowing space for meaningful conversation, hands-on care, and holistic support that values the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of pregnancy.
Partners, fathers, and family members are always welcome, as we recognize that birth is a shared experience and a sacred transition for the whole family. We create space for connection, education, and open dialogue, ensuring that all questions are answered and that you feel confident and informed every step of the way.
In addition to birth in your home, at Sacred Birth Midwifery we also provide the first 40 days of postpartum care in your home as well, for both you and baby.
At Sacred Birth Midwifery we recognize the sacred bond between mother and baby as a single, interconnected unit.
We practice the wisdom of our elders by creating care that allows mother baby and family to stay home during this sacred postpartum window. This is where bonding deepens, where feeding rhythms are established organically, and where both mother and baby are nourished on every level.
With Sacred Birth Midwifery our goal is that after birth you don’t have to leave your home again until the final six week appointment.
All of our postpartum care includes care of the newborn for the first 28 days of life. In addition to routine and evidence based postpartum care, Kayla also offers Closing of the Bones postpartum healing ceremonies.
Investment
Our cost of care is $5,500 including a non-refundable $500 deposit at the first prenatal visit. This fee includes all your prenatal, birth, postpartum and newborn care. It also includes in-home postpartum visits for the first 4 weeks and a Closing of the Bones healing. We strive to make midwifery care accessible to all families by offering flexible payment plans and working with your financial goals and capabilities.
When you choose to invest into Sacred Birth Midwifery, you are really choosing to invest in yourself and the care that you know you deserve.
Insurance
Our goal is to center YOU by providing care that is individualized to your unique needs and desires. In order to do this we have chosen not to accept insurance as a form of payment. Accepting insurance means that we would be restricted in the ways that we can care for you and would be forced to answer to insurance companies rather than you. This is not something that we are willing to do.
Additionally insurance reimburses based on volume and interventions. Because our model of care is centered on relationship and reducing unnecessary interventions this means that our reimbursement rates through insurance are often dramatically low and not sustainable. We are not willing to compromise our care in order to accept insurance.
However, because Kayla is a CNM and occasionally recognized as in-network, if you have private insurance we are happy to bill them for you at the end of your care, upon request. It is possible with her being a CNM that you may see some reimbursement but not guaranteed.
